HENRY RAMER 

HENRY RAMER is a 1962 graduate of Rutgers University (B.A.) where he was editor-in-chief of the Daily Targum. He received his LLB in 1966 from Columbia University Law School, where he was class president and was admitted to the New Jersey Bar that year. While serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Brazil (1966-1968). Mr. Ramer received a Certificado de Especializacao from the University of San Pauol and is fluent in both Portuguese and Spanish.

He has concentrated his law practice for the past twenty years on real estate and land use matters for gasoline marketers, quick serve restaurants and general commercial clients. This followed his earlier career as Paterson City Counsel, special assistant to the Mayor of the city of Paterson, attorney for the Passaic County Planning Board, West Paterson Board of Education, North Haledon Borough Attorney, and other local entities. He has testified as an expert witness in New Jersey Superior Court in zoning disputes.

He has lectured before sections of the American Bar Association on these subjects and is currently Vice Chairman of the United Way of Passaic County, Chairman of the New Jersey-Israel Commission's Committee of Tourism and Culture; and Chairman of the legal committee of New Jersey Common Cause. He was a member of the Passaic County Bar’s Fee Arbitration Commission.

Mr. Ramer is admitted to the practice of law in New Jersey, New York and Florida and before various federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court. He is Certified by the Supreme Court of the State of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney.

Mr. Ramer joined Williams, Caliri, Miller & Otley, P.C. as Counsel in 2001.
