RALPH V. MARTIN

RALPH V. MARTIN, born Paterson, New Jersey; admitted to bar, 1958, New Jersey and U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey; 1963, U.S. Supreme Court.  Education: Rutgers University (B.S., 1950; M.S 1951; J.D., 1958). [lst Lieut., Guided Missile Officer, U.S. Army, 1951-1955. Graduate U.S. Army Guided Missile School, Real Stone Arsenal, Alabama - E.E.]

Judge Martin served as Judge of the Superior Court, State of New Jersey, between 1973-1995.  During his tenure, he was assigned to both the Civil division and Criminal division where he was the Presiding Judge. He served as Chairman of the Supreme Court Committee on Media Relations, the Judicial Evaluation Committee, and several special court committees. He is the former Chairman of the Election Law Enforcement Commission. Prior to his appointment to the Superior Court bench, Judge Martin served as judge of the Municipal Court of North Haledon and Prospect Park, New Jersey. He is a former Assistant Counsel for the City of Clifton, New Jersey, and a former North Haledon Planning Board Counsel. Judge Martin was a sole practitioner in Wayne, New Jersey, and a lecturer for the American Banking Institute and the Institute for Continuing Legal Education.

He is a former Member of the Board of Directors of the Health Care Center, Wyckoff, New Jersey; Member and former Trustee of the Passaic County Bar Association, and a Member of the New Jersey State Bar Association.

Judge Martin joined Williams, Caliri, Miller & Otley, P.C. in 1995 as Counsel, where his areas of practice include special litigation, business and contract law, commercial law, and alternative dispute resolution.
